Instruction 10: Edit / Rename visitor

Edit / Rename the visitor can help you and your colleague receptionists to know more about visitor when he visit next time. The renamed information of the visitor is permanent.

1. Right click on the visitor you want to edit or rename, choose Edit this visitor.

2. Edit the information.

Instruction 9: Change Visitor's Chat Window Parameters

As we know, the visitor chats with operators in a chat window. Normally speaking the chat window consists following parts:

These seven parts can all be changed. Now let's see how to do that.
1. Change the side edge advertisement.




3. Change prologue in visitor's chat window.



4. Change department information


5.  Change automatic information


6. Change button status of visitor's chat window.


In fact, there are other settings of visitor's chat window. We can find most of them in Option ---- Parameter setting ---- Dialog. The branch settings of Dialog are very specific.

Instruction 8: change user name and friendly name

When you are recepting a visitor, he can see your friendly name in the visitor's live chat window. If you never set your friendly name, the visitor can see your name 000. How to change 000 or 111 into your favorite name? Let's get it done now.

1. From the chat window of visitor ...

2. Operation procedure: Personal Setting --- Change Login Name and Password

3. Complete the information

4. It worlks ...


5. But this is not the best way. Login name can be displayed in the chat window only when you didn't set the friendly name. Friendly name doesn't affect your login name.
Operation procedure: Personal Setting --- Set up friendly name


6. Then the new window of Friendly name of operator will show up.

7. After the setting, let's see if it works in the visitor's chat window. Now the login name is Edmond, and friendly name is Alexander.

Instruction 7: Canned Response

Canned responses can help you to send the greeting words in the first time when you are in a chat with the visitor; and you can answer the frequent questions of the visitor very fast by setting the answers into canned responses. This is one of the core function of Live Reception, saving a lot of time of the receptionist. Now let's see how to use this function.

Notice: "Canned response" is changed into "Quick Reply" in the latest version. It is just a change of calling, the content is not changed.

2. The window of Canned Responses shows up. How to edit responses and directory?
3. To add a new directory.

5. To move the position of response and directory up and down.
6. OK! Now let's start over again. We are going to add a new directory "start reception", and add a new response "Reception 1" under the directory.

Instruction 6 Change floating icons.

When you are using Live Reception in your website, there will be a live chat icon. Maybe you don't like the default chat icon. Now let's see how to change it.
1. Here we go.
2. Now we are in Floating Icon interface.
3. A webpage containing a lot of icons will show up.
4. Choose one, and switch back to Floating Icon interface.
5. Then we proceed. Set the off-line icon.
6. Choose one.
7. Switch back to Floating Icon interface.

8. Look, the icon on the website changed into the one we chose.

9. If you like none of our icons, you can choose your own picture as the icon.

10. The new window will show up for you to choose a local picture.
11. Finish the off-line icon setting as well. Don't forget to save your settings.
12. Great! The new local icons are working on webpage.
13. The settings are done. Now let's see the functions of other settings on Floating Icon interface.

Instruction 5: Function Test

1. Test can help you to test the more functions of the software before or without you insert the HTML code into your website. This is for you to know more about software, and to get a preview before you install it to your website.
2. Choose Test in the main menu bar of Live Reception interface.

     3. The function list of Test is displayed in the form of webpage. There are 15 chat link icon plans for testing. (Fiure 2)

     4. Let’s take Fixed Icon for example. The ways to test other chat Icon plans are mostly same as this. (Figure 3)
